Andrea Seldeslachts
I am a PhD student in the lab of Toxicology and Pharmacology at the KU Leuven directed by Prof. Jan Tytgat. In my project I want to overcome the hurdles to address caterpillar envenomation. From my engineering point of view, it is fantastic to see how you can start from a product of mother nature and translate it into a valorized product. Therefore, my research interests are in the fields of drug development, ion channel, venomous animals and proteotranscriptomics. Research domains that we need to combine in order to carry out venom research.
